Entering into yet another hurricane season, ACTS is more than anxious to expand our first response capabilities. A new mobile Command Unit and office space is greatly needed to organize the sheer volume of emergency response volunteers and organizations who have signed up to respond with ACTS this season. Response Site and Volunteer camp coordinators have done an incredible job with what little they had to work with. Our offices were mainly cramped makeshift operations located in small donated campers or personal trailers. New waterproof spaces for mapping, printing, and video production operations are desperately needed as soon as possible.
