Acts of Compassion Team Services(ACTS)
Motto: Educate and Prepare “An Army of Everyone”
Mission: To unite and train adult and youth volunteers to become community resources.
ACTS is organized into four divisions of Outreach:

ACTS DR- Disaster Response: Deploys to the disaster site within 12 hours of notification. Prepare hot meals with our mobile commercial kitchens, set up victim assistance through distribution sites (of food, water, clothing, and essential items), and manage volunteer Registration and Coordination Centers, (for debris removal, and rebuilding of Churches and Homes). *Over 530,000 Hot Meals served and $43 million of donated goods distributed.

ACTS EH- Emotional Healing: Provides Mobile Public Address Systems and Sound Stages for Community revitalization and Emotional/Adventure Therapy. *32 public venues arranged featuring local talent, American Idol guests, nationally recognized singing groups, Puppets and Motivational speakers.

ACTS Ed- Education and Training: Provides Initial Community Response Network (ICRN) Education, Field-schools, Taskforce Internships, Practicum Training, Certification, Health/Nutrition, At-Risk Youth Service Training *Over 17,000 Volunteers have received training.

ACTS MD- Medical Services: Coordinates Volunteer Providers, Mobile Hospital Equipment, Patient evacuation, EMT/Paramedic First Aid, Triage, and Dental care. *Over 2700 /patients served/inoculations given.
These four divisions unite and work as an awesome force to restore communities after disaster has struck.

Many Central Florida residents were awakened by a devastating series of storms that spawned tornadoes during the pre-dawn hours of Groundhog Day, 2007. By the late afternoon of February 2nd,the death toll rose to 19 as more bodies were found in Lake County in the wake of the storm's destruction. |
