Who We Are…

ACTS of COMPASSION is a faith based Disaster response and community outreach agency.

What We Do…

ACTS unites and trains volunteers of all ages to become an invaluable resource to their community, by conducting outreach to the needy, and responding to disasters.

Our Unique Strengths..
1. Preparedness Teams- Training and mobilizing youth and adult volunteers to be the leaders of today! ACTS networks with many school systems and churches that send their young people to gain experience whether in disaster response or 20 Community Impact Events throughout the year. Training in NIMS, CERT and other standardized disaster preparedness training is given to respond in time of disaster.

2. Fast Response Teams- Mobilizing our fleet of trucks within 24 hours of a storm to feed, distribute and register volunteers with our mobile registration facility. This is possible because of our management strategy of team leaders positioned throughout the region. We have no large bureaucracy, so decisions can be made quickly.

3. Efficient Relief Teams- The “Army of Everyone” concept of utilizing over 17,000 pre-registered and unaffiliated volunteers unites the community by realizing they gain healing by helping others. This Army has sorted and distributed over 43 million dollars worth of donated items to survivors. Direct field distribution saves weeks of lost time and frustration by getting needed items in the hands of the needy immediately, rather than in a warehouse waiting to be transported to the disaster site. Our large tents and all-terrain forklifts, allow semi trucks to unload under cover where it is dry and we can handle up to 1500 cars per day utilizing our drive through distribution system.
